Dear UMEDPA Member, It is often said that the trade shows are a people business. We spend a major part of our time ---especially at show site --- working with hundreds of professionals to build a major “shopping mall” in a matter of days. We facilitate the buying and selling of thousands of products and services, and then reunite when it’s over to dismantle the show and start all over again. As a result, close friendships develop and those people become our extended family. When tragedy strikes one of our own in the trade show/event business, we hurt too and want to help. In that spirit, the EDPA Foundation was formed in December 2002. It is a foundation made up of executives from all segments of the industry who have a common goal: the heartfelt desire to reach out to our peers in their time of need. I am proud to serve on the Board of this unique foundation, along with many other industry leaders whom you will undoubtedly recognize. We have united to provide a helping hand to the people in our industry when they face a crisis in their lives. Our goals are threefold: We rely on the generosity of individuals and corporations to help those in dire need. Your contribution means a lot to EDPA and each of its board members--- but even more to the families who will be touched by your thoughtfulness during one of the most emotional and challenging times of their life. Can we count on your support? No contribution is too small. More information on the Foundation is attached as well as a pledge card. Thank
you for your consideration. Mark Bendickson |
